The Museum of American Finance (MoAF) plays a crucial role in increasing financial literacy so that regulators, investors and consumers can make wise financial decisions for themselves and for the communities in which they live in. MoAF has an academy which offers a series of classes, including the history of finance and financial institutions, understanding the current financial system and financial instruments, as well as learning the skills to effectively manage one's finances.
Financial literacy is a key part of understanding how to be successful in today's economy and how to ensure you understand where your money is and where it should be. Taking an active
role in your own education is the building block of financial literacy.
“We can’t promote things that we don’t know much about…we had to get in touch with the museum, do research and really work together with them in order to highlight their best parts…It’s not like we’re celebrities who get paid to say just one line, we had to find the best way to represent the museum and it’s academy.”

“When my friends heard that I knew how to make promotional videos and knew how to edit videos, they put me on the team for a website competition. It was my job to create a video using all the skills I learned, and we actually were finalists and won prizes!”
